Flower Substitution Policy
Flower and Arrangement Substitution Policy
Flowers are fresh, seasonal products, and the availability of specific varieties, shades and individual elements may vary.
Flower2go always aims to prepare each order as closely as possible to the arrangement selected on the website. If certain flowers or elements are unavailable at the time the order is prepared, substitutions may be made in accordance with the policy below.
1. Color substitutions
If a particular shade is unavailable, another available shade of the same type of flower may be used.
When making such a substitution, we aim to preserve the style, volume, quality, value and overall appearance of the selected arrangement.
2. Variety substitutions within the same flower type
The same type of flower may be available in different varieties that naturally vary in shade, size, shape and stage of bloom.
If a particular variety is unavailable, another variety of the same flower type of comparable quality and value may be used, provided that the substitution does not materially change the character of the arrangement.
3. Greenery and secondary elements
Greenery, filler flowers, decorative branches and other secondary elements may be replaced with the most suitable available alternatives of comparable style, quality and value.
Such changes do not require additional approval from the customer provided that they do not materially alter the overall character of the arrangement.
4. Secondary flowers
If a particular flower is a secondary element and does not define the main character of the arrangement, our florist may select the most suitable substitute of comparable quality and value if it is unavailable.
We aim to preserve the style, volume, color character and overall appearance of the selected arrangement.
5. Material substitutions
If a main flower needs to be replaced, or a substitution would noticeably affect the character of the selected arrangement, we will contact the customer to coordinate the most suitable alternative.
A complete replacement of the main flower in an arrangement with a different type of flower is considered a material substitution.
6. If the customer cannot be reached
If a material substitution is required and the customer cannot be reached, and waiting for a response may delay or prevent delivery within the agreed timeframe, our florist will select the closest and most suitable available alternative.
In such cases, we make every effort to preserve the style, volume, quality, value and overall appearance of the selected arrangement.
7. Quality and value of substitutions
All substitutions are made with consideration for the quality and value of the flowers and elements used.
A substitution should not reduce the overall value of the ordered arrangement.
When an element is replaced, an alternative of comparable quality and value will be used, or the arrangement will be adjusted to maintain the overall value of the order.
8. Packaging, boxes and baskets
Depending on availability, the shade or certain details of the packaging may differ from those shown in the photograph.
If a particular box, basket or other design element is unavailable, we will select the closest available alternative of comparable volume, quality and value.
If the packaging is a significant part of the product design and replacing it would noticeably alter the overall character of the product, we will contact the customer to coordinate a suitable alternative.
If the customer cannot be reached and waiting for a response may delay delivery, the closest available alternative will be used.
9. General principle
The possibility of substituting certain flowers or elements does not mean that the ordered product may be changed arbitrarily.
All substitutions are made with consideration for seasonality and current availability, with the aim of preparing and delivering the order to a high standard and within the agreed timeframe.
We aim to preserve the key characteristics of the selected arrangement: style, volume, quality, value and overall appearance.
Non-material changes may be made without additional approval. If a material change to the main composition or character of the arrangement is required, we will contact the customer. If the customer cannot be reached and waiting may delay or affect the agreed delivery time, Section 6 of this policy will apply.
